this item is advertised as being freestanding but unless it is mounted to the wall it doesn't work. it assembled quite easily, but once assembled as soon as i tried to put a bike on it, i tipped forwatds and would notsupport the weight of one bike much less two. on the box it says that it has padding to protect bikes and floor, but there was none. for those of you who would like to know the assembled size is approx 21x29x86.5"

Shimano Dynamo Hub - 36H QR, DH-3N72 Review

I got my hub and quickly laced up a rim(first one ever and it took about 15 minutes + tensioning/truing).

At first I thought it had a bit of resistance till i got the rim on and then decided it was super smooth. the resistance it gives is so low I will likely hardly notice it when riding long distance. I put this into a trailer wheel rather than a front rim since my intended use will be for long distance/multi day rides.

As for the operation of the hub, I tested it with my meter and it consistently puts out between 0.6 and 0.8 amps. The voltage in the funny thing, I can get 6 volts at 5mph in a 26inch rim. When I am at cruising speed, 15-20 I am getting 14-16 volts. I always planned to have a voltage regulator in use but now I see how vital it is.

Lastly about the power... I really wasn't thinking much about it at the time but this is an AC generating hub(as I assume most if not all are). Because of this I need to get a Bridge Rectifier(Diode Bride) it convert from AC to DC as well as a capacitor to smooth out the power source so my gadgets get nice clean energy.

It works as described and possibly even better. I am rather excited to get my charging station wired together so I can keep my gadgets powered up on the road.

my wife uses this and it isnt worth the money considering other products for the same price. it looks nice and the mounting tab is great. it only has one led that blinks. it is weak and drowned out by the thick lense. It is sufficient on country roads but gets completely washed out when you are in a lit area. my wife will use it til it breaks but will buy another product for replacement.

Adjustable 1-Bike Roof Rack Carrier Review

Installed two of these on 2012 Rav 4. Install was pretty easy. Used for 5 day trip to beach. Took bikes off and put back on each ride as hotel bike racks were full and I didnt want to cram our $400 bikes in with everyone else. I'm 6'1 and loading unloading was fairly painless. However I don't know my wife could've done it herself without a step ladder. Overall you can't beat these for the features, and cost compared to other big name brands. Definitely glad I went with these!

Emgo Street Handlebar - Superbike Bend - Black, Color: Black 23-12571 Review

They work great. I used them for a handlebar conversion on an sv1000s. These bars work exactly as advertised and were the cheapest I found when I was in the market for them. I would recomend them. The only negative, and it's not really a negative, is that they are a lil bit lower than I was looking for because I do a lot of slabbing with my Harley friends... But at this hight it is a good compermise for the twisties too. So in conclusion they weren't exactly what I was looking for for my SV but they ended up being great anyway.
