Ergon Grip P1WG Series Bicycle Handle Bar Grips (Grip Shift, Small) Review

I have not yet bought these grips because of the price. However, I'd like to offer some information gleaned from the ergon-bike.com website that will hopefully clear up the confusion over grip length presented by the Amazon product descriptions and reviews.

The models and lengths of the three GP1 grip sets are:

Standard - Left: 132mm, Right: 132mm (Amazon id: P1)
Rohloff�/Nexus� - Left: 132mm, Right: 96.5mm (Amazon id: for Nexus/Rohloff)
GripShift� - Left: 96.5mm, Right: 96.5mm (Amazon id: P1WG)

The standard 123mm grips would be too long for my bike, since the shifter/brake units create interference. There is discussion in the "GP1" reviews about cutting that model shorter or sliding the shifters in; neither an appealing idea to me. Thus, the P1WG model is what I would need.

I have a T-Rax 4-Bike Rack for a 1 1/4" hitch receiver. I started using the rack on a 2" hitch receiver and was disappointed to find that the threads would not reach the bolt with a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter installed so I replaced it with a regular bolt. Eventually I striped the bolt and nut and decided to give this a try. It worked perfectly. The threads are long so this will work on a 1 1/4" or 2" receiver.

Booyah Small Dog Pet Bike Bicycle Trailer Pet Trailer Review

This bike trailer is perfect for our small dog, a Yorkie mix about 11 lbs. Good quality construction and looks nice. She took right to it thanks to her familiarity with sleeping in her soft sided crate. Instructions include tips for getting your dog used to the trailer if you need help with that. Shipping was quick, arrived within a few days. Shipping carton clearly states on all sides not to drop or throw. Obviously UPS doesn't pay attention to that, as the end of the metal frame punctured through the cardboard (cheap Chinese cardboard). No damage though so it wasn't a problem. The Amazon.com website description says the trailer has "side storage pockets", but it DOES NOT. Maybe the larger models do. Would be nice to have pockets of some kind but not a deal-breaker.

The hitch attaches to the bike easily (my bike has quick release hub) and attaching the hitch took less than a minute or two. The trailer is lightweight and you hardly know you're pulling it, even with a dog inside.

I highly recommend this pet bike trailer if you have a small dog.
