I installed these on my touring bike. The setup is very simple and instructions are included. Make sure to measure the diameter of your handlebars at the point you want to mount BEFORE you order. Also, double check the length of the cable before you cut. You will get the best results from a dedicated cable cutting tool, although this is not strictly necessary. Use a quick motion to avoid crushing the housing. If you are unfamiliar with bike mechanics it might take you about forty five minutes to complete the job, less time if you're experienced.

On my setup with cantilever brakes and tiagra shifters the brakes provided a good amount of travel, and did not interfere with normal braking. It's very nice to have the option of riding on the top of the bars, especially in city riding.
