I bought this chrome wheel replacement for a vintage cruiser. There just aren't too many options for chrome,steel wheels for a reasonable price.
I also bought the matching front. Like the old saying "when Chrome was thick and women were straight. Don't expect 1940's chrome here. Overall appearance is good (see pix) Here's some noted details, Axle spacing is 4 1/4" rim width is 1 1/4". It will fit your middle weight and 26x2.125 balloon tires.
I would buy again. One reviewer had a problem with broken spokes,you can "stress relief" spokes by squeezing a set of four spoke's together halfway between the rim and hub by hand. Its recommended by wheel builders. Spokes may be slightly twisted from the factory also, allowing them not to "seat" properly at the hub.(sounds like his issue) A decent spoke wrench can help here.
