Shimano Deore ST-M590 3x9-Speed Brake/Shift Lever Set Review

I put these on a cyclo-cross frame that I built up to be my "mutt" commuter/short-tour bike. Brake lever and shifter work great. Indexing is spot on with shimano hub. I like the feel of the brake lever and the shifter levers are positioned well. I use a "figure 8" trekking bar, but put the drop end up so I could mount these on the top. First ride in the optical display is messed up. Not sure if that will correct as I break them in. It does not affect the capability of the shifter, but it is a bit annoying. Only reason I gave them 4 stars versus 5.
