They're tacky and grippy, and seem to be wearing nicely. They have a nice squishy feeling to them, but I don't think they'd be comfortable for very long rides without gloves. I originally had them on a mountain bike I bought at costco. I liked them so much I put them on a flat bar road bike I built.
