Product Description
Compared to steel hitch racks, the Inno Aero Light are made with an aluminum post, is lighter weight for dramatically easier installation and improved fuel economy. Foot pedal release makes it easy to tilt the rack down, even when fully loaded with bicycles, for easy access to rear of vehicle. When not loaded up with bikes, the hitch bike rack support arms can be folded down with the simple pull of a lever for improved clearance when parallel parking or squeezing into a tight garage. The soft rubber cradles won't leave scratches on your bikes and the anti-sway cradles will hold bikes firmly to prevent them from banging against each other or the rear of your vehicle, even on bumpy roads. For theft prevention, the Inno Aero Light includes a burly, integrated cable lock and key system. Carrier also locks to trailer hitch using the included hitch pin lock. Inno INH301 hitch bike rack carries up to 4 bicycles while the Inno INH302 hitch bike rack carries up to 2 bicycles.Inno Racks INOINH303 Aero Light Hitch Bike Carrier Review
This rack is fantastic, especially when compared to similar Thule and Yakima racks at a higher price. It's solidly made, and light enough that smaller humans can take it off without too much trouble. The best feature is the integrated foot pedal to tilt away from the car, meaning it's totally painless to leave it on the car at all times, and tilt it out of the way quickly and easily when you want to get into the back of the car.PROS:
Locking hitch pin also keeps it very stable. no wobble at all.
Tilt mechanism to get into the back of the car is very well made. simply grab the rack, step lightly on a foot pedal, and tilt downward
Despite the light weight, it's very rugged
I love the ratcheting straps, especially the fact that you can remove them entirely from the rack, storing them inside the car so they don't get dried out
Very stable when the bikes are in place
Arms are fairly close together, to fit bikes with smaller frames, yet the stabilizing blocks with their three strapping points keep the bikes very stable.
Very handy integrated cable lock
CONS:
While the integrated cable lock and hitch pin lock are both great features, they require two different keys! That's just lame.
There's a handy lever you pull down to unlatch the arms and swing them down when not in use, but the lever is hard for a kid to operate.
They could have provided an extra strap or two. They only provide exactly enough for three bikes.
I would almost stick this under "Pros" for entertainment value, but the direction book is so poorly translated from Japanese it is laughable. Some more enjoyable ones:
-Make sure wearing shoes to work for the foot pedal. If you work with barefoot or hands it might be possibly hurt.
-Do not apply pressure on the leaned arm with a load or by leaning on it.
-Screw water out of a wet towel and remove dirt with it.
And my favorite....
-Shack the post and make sure it's certainly secured.
