This is a well-built tough blackwall tire with an all-weather tread that will roll nicely in good weather too.
It's adverstised at 32 mm width, which is 1 1/4", but it measures out at 1 inch wide mounted. I have it mounted on a 3/4" wide rim. The mounting was not difficult but I went slowly and inflated a little at a time- a couple of inches didn't seat at first, so I deflated a little, pushed that in, and then it inflated and set just fine.

It's not as wide as a 27 x 1 1/4 tire, if you are familiar with the old standard that came on a bike like a Schwinn Varsity. Road clinchers often measure an 1/8" more narrow than they are labled- a 1 1/4" tire usually actually measures 1 1/8 inch across. A 1 3/8" tire then actually measures 1 1/4", a 1 1/8" measures 1" and so on, and it seems to carry through as a rule on 700C's as well But I've seen different tires from different makers actually measure the same while labled 1/4" different on the sides. I think the metric equivlent here should actually be labled 28mm, or even 25mm. The 700C rim is slightly smaller than the 27" rim, so the profile height of the tire is less too.

This tire is actually 1 inch across- I think the photo is actually a wider tire- so if you want a width like that, ORDER WIDER. I have the next size, 35 mm in a Kenda tire on the way, and I'll review that. I think it will go on the rim- (this information needs clarifying here, what width tire will fit what width rims One can make an educated guess from the tube sizes, but often 700 and 27" tubes are mixed and used for both ) But the descrepencies in 700C tire width between makers, and the general "1/8" less than labled rule" are annoying, especially when ordering on the net, and running delivery people around.

Here's the metric equilvalents, starting at 1 inch = 25.4mm
1 1/8"= 28mm
1 1/4"= 32mm
1 3/8"= 35mm
1 1/2"= 38mm

in other words, an 1/8" is about 3mm

but then remember: MOST of the tires will actually measure 1/8" under the labled size-
though this one measures a full 1/4" under 32mm, or 1 inch wide
