I have had no issues with this and have no complaints. It's the best lens rings I've acquired yet for my DSLR lenses. It always stays in place for me and never slips off or out of whack. It is somewhat important to get the lens center in the middle of it, but it's not difficult, just takes a little careful installation. It's not as easy to remove as the thumbscrew types, so I'd recommend it for lenses that you want to leave it on all the time. For that purpose, it's fantastic. I have it on my Canon 16-35mm f2.8L, and it's right at home on it. That's a little bit bigger in diameter of a DSLR lens, so it may be a little bit large and awkward on a teeny tiny little lens like the Canon 50mm f1.8, although I think it would still work fine since it comes it varying sizes of screws to hold it on. You might double-check Cinevate's website if you're using a different lens that the one I am, just to make sure it's compatible.
