The Chief's frame design features seat tube, with a 17" measurement from the bottom bracket, whereas most mens' cruisers have a 19" measurement. But, the frame is 3" longer than normal, and the pedals are shifted forward giving the rider great leg extension. The 3 speed is a Shimano, making this bike an excellent ride. Quick delivery and well packaged plus it was a snap to put together. I did have a problem on the maiden voyage with the shifter but one call to the tech and it was a quick and easy fix. Since it was my 1st in the barrel shifter the tech held my hand took me step by step through the trouble shooting and even went for a ride with me via my blu tooth to make sure all was well. Did I mention the comfort; the forward mounted pedals make all the difference in the world in addition to the ergonomic handle bars, the well padded seat and light weight frame blend together for the most comfortable ride this 60 year old has ever experienced and I've been peddling for 55 years on everything from Stingrays to English Racers and even high dollar off road bikes! All of this and the bike looks really cool with the blackout paint scheme and fade out flames, it turns a lot of heads and gets compliments everywhere I go. I highly recommend this pedal bike for the cost, toughness, comfort, looks, service and support. Thanks Beachbikes.
