Sigma Eloy LED Headlight Review

I used to swear by Sigma's Tri-LED model, but now this is my go-to light. I find this is the best combination of durability and functionality in this price class. The mount is a great concept. No extra pieces and you can easily attach and remove it on most bikes without any tools needed. Unfortunately, this light may not get a tight grip on all handlebars. You can solve this problem by wrapping a small amount of old tube (secured with electrical tape) or other such rubber material (old kitchen gloves?) or perhaps even cloth tape around the bars. If you own multiple bikes or want to remove your light to prevent theft when parking, consider this light.

The latest rage in lights is annoying batteries. A lot of lights now use obscure size expensive batteries. This model gives you AA battery convenience, your choice of rechargeable or alkaline. I think the manufacturer's battery claims are accurate.

This model is durable and has good water seal; won't survive submersion but will not get shorted out by rain. Makes you visible on city streets and in traffic. Way more visible than those single LED frog lights. It can shed just enough light on a darkened path or road to get you home but it is not a substitute for the brighter kind of light you should use to travel dark roads or trails.
