  I already owned a set of the Soma Steel Core tire levers before, so knowing how good they are and having plastic ones fail I ordered another set for another seat bag. Today's tires and rims are becoming more difficult to take off and on, and plastic levers aren't up to the task a lot of the times. You don't want to use a plain steel lever because steel is harder than aluminum or carbon fiber and you take a huge chance on gouging a rim, but these are covered in a thick plastic so they can't gouge the rim, and the steel core keeps the lever from snapping.

QuikStik can be used by itself but some tires and rims don't have enough space to squeeze the QuikStik between, instead you use two Soma Steel Core tire levers to get the first section done and lock the levers opposite end hook around two adjacent spokes, insert the QuikStik between the space of the tire and rim that the two levers created, pull one of the levers out, then simply slide the QuikStik around the rim and the other lever will just fall off.
