This is a great tool without it I could have not removed the stearing head cups from my 1978 Harley without cutting them out.

Pre soaked the cups with WD-40 to lossen the 35 years of rust. Instert this tool and after a few well placed, hard wacks, with the BFH, out they came.

Tool held up, didn't deform, bend etc. Looks like it can be used quite few more times

Park Tool PCS-4 Deluxe Home Mechanic Repair Stand Review

I checked out some of the less expensive bike repair stands in local stores and did not like the wobbly construction or the clamping mechanism. I also looked at the less expensive Park Tool model. It would work well, I am sure, but I noticed that the clamp on this model is nearly identical to the commercial model used in my local bike shop. Also, the legs--which fold together when not in use--offer a very stable footing when the bike is in place. The stability is further enhanced by the fact that the rubber end caps are eccentric, allowing you to adjust them individually to counter any irregularities or slope in the floor.

As with all the Park Tool products I have tried out, the Deluxe model is solidly designed and constructed and will doubtless outlast its original owner.

My 19 yr. old son requested this bike for Christmas. He is not a serious bike rider, just wanted to be able to go if his friends were going. He liked the seat suspension and the look was acceptable. Shipping was fast but when it arrived, pieces of the bike were poking through the box all around but fortunately nothing was seriously damaged (some scratches tho')so I took it to a bike shop to have it assembled and adjusted for his height and to make sure nothing was missing and they said that if he became more serious about riding he would need a bigger frame (not wheel size) as he is 6'2" tall. They also said it had features a more expensive bike would have. My son said it is a pretty heavy bike but everything works well and he is happy with it so far.

After a lot of research, I decided to replace badly worn tires with Nobby Nics on a used Cannondale Super V500 I picked from a friend about a year ago. Since I mostly ride on very rocky single track trails and don't like flats, I paired my Nobby Nics with slime self healing tubes. These tires are extremely durable and I haven't ever had a flat or puncture in 9 months of riding once or twice a week at about 15 miles per outing. The Nobby Nics are larger and heavier than what I've used in the past but they definitely increase my technical skill level.
