ACS SouthPaw 16T Left Hand Drive Freewheel 1/8" Review

Requires Park tool SPA-1 spanner tool to remove the stock drive freewheel but when I checked amazon didn't have it and have to order it from another sourse but you might want to try the Advanced Tool Design Model ATD-3405 Universal Spanner Clutch Tool to remove it.?

Remember though if your replacing the freewheel on the heavy steel framed eZip Trailz you will lose a lot of your low end torque causeing more strain on your motor, batteries and controller.

You may want to change the peddel side freewheel to a different ratio.?
A 14-16-18-20-22-24-28 is the stock peddel side freewheel on my 2008 eZip Trailz.

A higher top end speed and good low gear ratio for me is the 13-15-17-19-21-24-28.

The 28 is my low gear for take off and the 13 is my top end speed gear.

If your in really good shape or on a down hill or flat run you could go with a 11-14-16-18-21-24-28 ratio and get a good take off ratio with the 21-24-28 and a top end speed with the 11-14-16 gear ratio.

Of course this is by peddeling to assist the motor so youi don't over heat your motor, batteries and controller.

Note in the photos:
The axal nut is tighten down on the wrench that come with your bike and the bottom piece is just an old computer card slot cover.
When you turn the spa-1 tool you wull turn the axal and freewheel togather (Clock Wise)to remove the freewheel and (CCW)counter clock wise to put the ACS SouthPaw 16T Left Hand Drive freewheel on.
