I bought two of these for my kids... they're lightweight with ample view, so initially I was pleased. Within one week of light use (no wrecks), one cracked where the face shield meets the main body on one side. The other side soon followed, and one side on the second helmet is now cracked, too. This cracked shell, about 1/8 inch thick, is the only thing connecting the face shield to the body. There's no reinforcement at all, which makes me wonder what would happen in a wreck with any real impact. I'm past the return window for Amazon, and I haven't called Mongoose yet. Maybe they'll be cool. I don't think anyone should buy this helmet at any price, since the whole point of a full face is blown on this defect.
