So I received these replacements for my old mountain bike. One reason I chose to stick with this tire is that most of the mountain bike tires are made very thinly. You will notice that these tires are still made the old way, they are thicker.

The tread is aggessive and great for loose rock, mud, loose soil and street. Though on pavement you will slow down on a roll, but that's okay. The tire does very well in loose soil and rocks so that's an even trade off.

Not a knock, my old ones had sidewalls whereas these are all black and the lettering in white is only on one side of the tire. Either add it to the other side or get rid of it all.

Another nice feature was that on the side of the tire; there is a marking which tells you which way the tire should be mounted on your rim. Put the words "Front-Back" right side up and that tells you. Very nice.

So already took it out for 3 bike trips on rock and pavement and it does very well. On pavement, because of the tread being aggressive you will notice it is a bit more harder to turn the wheel. The side tread has very stiff block treading so it wants to keep you going forward. Again though for pavement it is a bit of a work out, but for loose soil and rock, it keeps you stable.

So the tire is great, it is for rims 26" x 1.95" and it does very well.
