I recently purchased a new trek rumblefish elite 23" xxl 29er full suspension bike. It fits me great being a tall guy (6'5"), but unfortunately the grips they put on that bike are, I swear, sized for childrens hands and I was getting cramps on any single track downhill trails I would go on.

I ordered these as a cheaper alternative to ergon's but still being lock on so they wouldn't rotate on me. After 1 20 mile ride I'm sold on this style, they fit my large mitts great and feel good while I'm wearing my 4 year old padded open finger gloves that I use on all of my bikes. These grips feel very sticky and spongy like a high silicone content rubber so I don't expect them to last very long. The molded in 'wings' that go under your palms out at the edge are nice on flat areas to rest my hands, but they are not solid at all and bend/move around a lot as they feel to be hollow areas of the grip, so if you crank down on them like a motorcycle throttle while climbing they will move out of the way - other brand grips in this style like the non-lock-on ergo grips sold at performance bike stores under the forte brand are solid in this area and much denser rubber overall.

When these wear out I will likely buy them again unless they wear out really fast.
